All bikes start out as a designer’s
idea and vision. Then a group of engineers will draw/plot,
prototype and test
the final design. After all of the tooling, manufacturing
processes and vender supply lines have been established,
bikes make their way through the assembly line. Then
they make their way to the dealer’s show room floor.
Sitting patiently waiting for a home.
People come and look, feel, test drive
and hopefully purchase the end result of that first designer’s
vision.
For
some, the original design is perfect, and the thought
of any change never occurs to them. But for others…
They say: “FORGET
THE FACTORY!”
They modify, personalize, and change that bike to suit their
own taste.
Why not? They own it! They ride it!
We all may not like
what people do to their bike; you may think it’s
absurd or useless.
We think if it makes
you happy, that’s
all that matters.
Riding bikes is supposed to be fun right!!
You could also call these people explorers, pioneers, who
are not scared or timid about trying to make what the factory
built, into what they want their motorcycle to be. Sometimes
discoveries are made in performance and comfort. Sometimes
an exciting look, but the information and knowledge learned
is useful to everyone. We salute you!
Maybe you yourself
have knowingly or unknowingly said FORGET THE FACTORY!
If you’ve changed your bike
at all you may have just joined the Forget The Factory
