BIG DADDY will now show you how to properly adjust the valves on a Tonti frame big block Guzzi. The bike he’s working on is a 1984 California 2. The factory specs for valve rocker arm clearance for the intake and exhaust is 0.22mm, valve adjustment must be made on COLD engine.

Step 5
Moto guzzi Shop.com

Rotate the engine until you align the D mark on the flywheel with the notch on the bell housing. D is the distributor side of the engine/ right side. The D means the right side piston is at TDC, top dead center. The engine needs to be at TDC on the compression stroke, both intake and exhaust valves will be completely closed. If both rocker arms are loose you are on the right stroke. If they are tight your on the wrong stroke, you need to rotate the engine clockwise again, until you get to the D mark for the second time.

STEP 6
